City of Sacramento Grant

We are pleased to announce that SCTA has been approved for a $5,000 grant from the City of Sacramento. This award is from the city’s Office of Arts and Culture “Small Organization Sustainability Grant” program. The program granted a total of $100,000 to 25 local non-profit organizations. The SCTA application, developed by Jennifer Tachera and Irene Camarino, received a high score—thus garnering the full amount. Tachera credits this success to SCTA’s longevity, and a board that is diverse and activist.

Unclear if this program will be renewed next year, but we are continuing to look for other grant opportunities.
