After club business, Joan McMurray will give an introduction to "Painting on Silk" and you will have an opportunity to sign up for her 2 day June 6&7 workshop.

Going Beyond the Frame Workshop
Instructor: Vicki Assegued
You'll begin by wrapping a frame with fun fabrics and fibers, then adding all sorts of elements within, around, behind and hanging off of the frame. Learn many fun and exciting techniques for creating shapes, wraps and protrusions to make your wall piece gorgeous and unique.

Last month, we explored taking color away using bleach—this month, we’re flipping the process and letting the sun bring color to life! Join us as we experiment with solar printing, a fun and creative technique that uses sunlight to develop unique designs.

In March we made collage pieces for an artist’s book and in April we’ll be making the accordion book structure that will house our art pieces.
Bead Study Group
Yvonne Warren will lead us in making domino jewelry. Who knew you could create such unique focal “beads” with dominoes!
It is important that you RSVP as soon as possible but no later than April 10th.
There is a $5 supply fee for this class for all attendees.
Shibori and Immersion Dyeing Workshop

In this hands-on workshop, we work with stitched Shibori techniques and immersion dyeing using natural color. This class is designed for beginners and for anyone who enjoys working with quiet, tactile processes.

Book Arts Study Group
Below is a picture of the book we will be making in our March and April classes. The “Panorama Book with Swiveling Panels” an accordion-type book structure was developed by Hedi Kyle. This is a book that will have three central pivoting panels. Six 4” x 6” portrait orientation images, three on the front and three on the back, will be displayed on the central pivoting panels. Ideas for decorating the panels include portrait orientation collages, photographs, sketches, paintings, and mixed media pieces. Suzanne Stalder-Mansur will be our teacher for this book.

Come join the Needle Arts Study Group on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the CLARA from 10:00am -1:00pm as we begin our annual group needlework project and share techniques and learn various needle art skills from our individual members. This study group is composed of members with talents in all things needle, fabric, yarn, thread and resources who enjoy sharing the knowledge and spirit, beginner to advanced!

Sashiko Workshop
Sashiko is a centuries-old Japanese stitching practice rooted in repair, resilience, and the quiet beauty of repeated lines. In this hands-on workshop we’ll explore the foundations of Sashiko, from marking simple geometric patterns to learning the traditional running-stitch technique that moves rhythmically through cloth.
Bead Study Group
Jenny Gispen-Schultz will teach us how to make beautiful polymer clay Bell-and-Dangle earrings.
No previous experience with polymer clay is required.
Tools and supplies:
Bring your jewelry making pliers and
Small beads of your choice (seed beads, rondelles, flat beads, crystals) to hang in your bells.
Polymer clay, head pins and other findings will be provided; though you are welcome to bring your own clay if you would like.
Also, don’t forget to bring your box of treasures and chain so Anne DeStefano can provide pointers as we prepare for March’s Heirloom Chain Necklace class.
