This month’s study group will focus on an exciting hands-on activity: Gelli Plate printing.
We will learn how to make your own Gelli plate using simple grocery store ingredients and explore creative printing techniques together.
To prepare, please bring the following items:
Square container that holds liquid at least 1” deep (cookie sheet will work fine)
Brayer
Acrylic paints, soft body, heavy body, fluid acrylics, and open acrylics, printing inks work well
•Cotton fabrics, muslin, watercolor paper cut to the size of your plate
Old newspapers, freezer paper, paper towels, baby wipes,
vinyl gloves,
Dollies, stencils, stamps, found objects, outdoor fencing, roller stamps, netting,
texture of any kind
Gelli plate ingredients will be provided
